Nineteen properties recorded deeds in Newton from July 3 to Aug. 1, with 11 listing sale prices that ranged from $595,000 to $3.15 million and a median of $1.61 million. The period's top transaction was a $3.15 million sale at 40 Cypress St., bought by Cypress Street LLC from trustees Leonard J. Luproire and Leonard J. Luproire Jr. Seven of the 19 deeds were transfers within the same family into trusts, including two on Chestnut Street, and none of those seven had a price recorded. Eight of the 19 total sales had no price recorded yet, and the data shows no clear indication of either a buyer's or seller's advantage this period.
