Newton Police Seek Missing 14-Year-Old Girl

Newton police are asking for the public's help locating a 14-year-old girl who has not been seen in more than a month, according to a Patch report Tuesday.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Newton Free Library has a busy slate this week. On Tuesday, August 5, the library hosts an author talk with Christopher Mirabile at 12:30 p.m., along with children's programs including "Draw Along Creatures" at 4 p.m. and a "Vision Board 4 Living" workshop for adults at 4 p.m. The library's 2026 Summer Reading Program continues through September 4 for all ages, and the Friends of the Newton Free Library are organizing "A Night at Fenway Park" for a Red Sox game on Monday, August 17.

Wednesday, August 6 brings two "Make Way for Storytime" sessions at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., plus a Summer Craft Club session for kids ages three to five at 4 p.m. The library also continues to participate in the Minuteman Library Crawl through August 6.
