Newton's Priciest August Sale Reaches $2.75 Million Amid Wave of Family Trust Transfers
Newton recorded 20 property transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only 8 deeds listed a sale price, ranging from $775,000 to $2,750,000 with a median of $1,619,000. The top sale was 5 Kappius Path at $2,750,000, sold Aug. 7 by Alexandr Li and Anna Ten to Arielle N. Gorstein and Dany Bahar. A notable share of the period's unpriced deeds, at least nine, moved property from individual owners into revocable trusts under their own names, including two same-day transfers by the same Newton couple. No street had more than one recorded sale, and price data covering under half the deeds limits a full read on market conditions.
